I’m very excited! Wohoo! Got the news here. The new iPhone 3G will be coming soon. The 8-GB model is only US $199, around 9000 pesos! Talk about cheapness! This price is apparently going to be enforced across the big 70 countries that will be selling the iPhone. So yeah, don’t be duped!
The 8-GB model is only available in black, which I like. I can actually sync my iTunes with this baby! I guess I’ll have to sell my iPod. No need for it when I have this. Oh, they also have a 16-GB model, which comes in black or white. Maybe the black one for me, and the white one for the wife. Apple actually has an official Philippine website, check it here.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a lot of whining, pleading, and begging to do!
Photo from Apple.
Update: I was reading yugatech’s blog, and he said that with taxes and tariffs, it might cost around Php13,500. And since Globe is the official carrier, it has released post-paid plans.
Excited na ako!!! And this is me, the one who’s not a bit interested sa phones and went for almost 2 years na walang cell phone, speaking.
Posted by TPS at June 10, 2008, 12:14 pmAde: I like the iPhone but couldn’t afford it. Now, I think I’ll buy two!
TPS: As per Yuga, baka September pa i-release ng Globe dito. Tagal! At malamang unahin yung new subscribers.
But the good news is nasa US ngayon si EJ, pabili kaya tayo?!
That makes me drool for the Iphone, but goodness, with the Philippines in crisis, I have to be uber higpit with saving grandiosely, teehee, and that means sticking still with my Nokia 6680, not for long I guess. God will provide.
Posted by sheng at June 11, 2008, 8:34 amYou’re right, no need for an iPod. I’m so enjoying the iPhone. I wrote an informal review here: http://witsandnuts.com/2008/05/28/a-quarter-with-an-iphone/
Posted by witsandnuts at June 16, 2008, 12:14 amsheng: I read in Yuga’s blog that the iPhone might cost from 25,000 to 35,000. Hop over there for more details. With the high prices, esp. the gas, I think I can wait and stick to my old phones. But I sooo want this!
witsandnuts: You have a pretty good spread!
Posted by thehusbandspeaks at June 16, 2008, 8:11 amooo! they’re releasing it in tokyo sometime this summer so we’re really looking forward to it. good thing my mobile carrier got the contract to distribute it here
