Every family has it: the favorite son or daughter (called my son or my daughter, always with the “my” attached), the most likely to succeed and thus get rich (called my precious), and the one who will spend his days in jail (called not mine). Just your typical family right? In our family, I am the eldest, followed by my sister, and then a brother. My brother happens to be both the “my son” (for my mom) and the “not mine” (for my dad). They call me my precious (go figure), and my sister got stuck by default with my daughter. She would have been a my precious had she not been spending too much on shoes and bags.

Anyway, my mom recently informed me via SMS that my brother will finally graduate this October. We have all along thought that his brain is totally whacked. So getting a degree sans bribing the teachers was something we really weren’t hoping for. But he will graduate after all. Nice! My brother reasoned that since he really “busted his brains” and got a degree no less, he should be entitled to a gift, just like me. That gift is a car. Which means that I’m busy reviewing cars, and thus this advertiser review.

The site lists cars from Japan’s no. 1 carmaker Toyota, with models starting all the way from 1997 up to 2009, including the 2009 Camry and Camry Hybrid. When on a hunt for a car, the things that I really look for aside from the price are those that provide a smooth ride, quiet engine noise, fuel efficient (what with the still high gas prices), and of course good resale value. Apart from listing toyota car specifications and the different prices of the different models, the site provides an editorial review of the pros and cons of each model and type, and other distinguishing features. This feature really helps a lot since potential buyers get to have this review of what the car really is, plus the different specs help in making comparisons, especially when it comes to its pros and cons.

Aside from different year models, you can narrow your search by limiting the display by the type of vehicle, either sedan, two door, SUV, pickup, etc., and by price range (depending on your budget). And just like other car sites, it offers a photo gallery for each specific model and type, a fully developed trims and specifications sheet, and a free price quote. The site is not limited to Toyotas though. It has various cars from Nissan, Honda, Ford, BMW, Lexus, etc.

Anyhow, my parents and brother are currently on a hunt for that perfect car that fits the budget. My car Boks had been my dad’s favorite for the longest time. Proof of that is him cleaning, washing, and waxing Boks every time we go there for a visit. But with this new car, I’m worried that Boks will not be getting the usual attention, which on second thought might be a good thing since he won’t notice all the bumps and scratches that bother him so much and that I barely notice. Oh! I forgot to ask, which one are you, a my son or my daughter, a my precious perhaps, or a not mine?
