Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. -Max Ehrmann, Desiderata

locked ourselves out

September 27, 2008

Just an hour ago, my wife and I had accidentally locked ourselves out. We were rushing to go to her parent’s house, and we forgot to bring our keys. I felt a major migraine coming in. I asked her to call our landlord and borrow the spare key. And what do you know? Just as she pressed call, the phone’s battery went out. Great! Just great! After a heated debate on who was at fault, we stared at each other, and the all of a sudden we both laughed! Crazy! But it sure made the whole thing so much better.

When we got to my in-laws and asked for help, one of my FIL’s workers offered to help. He had this wooden Zero Halliburton type of briefcase that had all his tools. And in less than a minute, he was able to unlock our door. It was amazing! I was both happy and worried. Happy because we don’t have to sleep in the street tonight, to which I was so looking forward to, and worried because it looked so easy to break in. So when we got back and I told this fact to my wife, we both got worried. So now, I’m off to the nearest hardware store to get some locks!

Hope you all are having a much better weekend!

Oh, I am scared, baka manakawan yung bahay ko sa subdivision namin, walang tao dun eh, sa June pa kami lilipat. I hope nothing lockpicking happens to it.

I was locked out once. Took me 5 hours waiting.
