Yesterday, after a very long hiatus, I got the chance to go to the mall, but mainly it’s because my wife and I need a haircut, and we need to get gifts for another spur-at-the-moment 400-peso “exchange gift” at the office. Why 400 pesos? I actually have no idea, better ask the punong abala Kumareng Grace.
So on my list of three things that I’d like to get are a 1) Snap Watch (worth Php 590), where I’m willing to reimburse the 190-peso excess, 2) a water bottle for the office, and 3) a toolbox and an assortment of tools like hammer, screwdrivers (Flathead and Phillips), etc. I also added an alternative option of having DVD-RWs if finding these items provide much of a headache. And with the Christmas sale that every mall seems to have, getting really good gifts might be easy, or not, as I saw a lot of junk displayed last night that I really wouldn’t want to receive.
From my list, I’m really hoping to get that Snap Watch, and of course I’m praying that I won’t have to reimburse the 190-peso excess.
List items 2 and 3 aren’t bad. These are things that I really need, along with the stack of blank DVDs. But if ever I didn’t get that watch, I think I’ll just buy it for myself. It’s a cheap new cool toy for me.
