I can’t help but be impressed at how an officemate endured five frantic years of law school while still working. What’s really impressive is that she was able to maintain her steam. She diligently went to school and worked hard.
Many of us develop a certain desire to be or to do something. But we’re only good during the first few steps. After a few hard times, we get tired, lost steam, and end up totally abandoning our goals. Of course each of us has his/her reasons for quitting. I try to convince myself that my reasons are valid. But I know that still counts as a failure somehow.
In a few days, I’ll start something new. And in the process, there’s this big possibility that I’d have to quit my job, which would totally strain our finances. And though it’s still four more months before I start handling out Swisher Sweets and receive well wishers for our newborn baby, we’re exerting all efforts to save as much as we can. I pray that I’d have enough steam to plow through all the obstacles that may come. It’s going to be very hard for us. But He always comes through. He always provides. And I know He will take good care of us.
